Things are not always as they appear. This piece was made as a tray but someone bought it and made it into a piece of wall art. It is always nice when other people see something valuable in your work that you don't see.

Black Forest Bottles
I sold the set of Black Forest bottles at the First Friday Show and the person who purchased them was kind enough to send me a photo of the bottles nicely displayed in her contemporary home near the beach.
Lake House Picture
Here are a few images from the First Friday Show at the Lake House. Unfortunately. before the show started I was not able to take some images immediately after they finished the displays and before some of the pieces sold. A good problem to have.

A Great Success
The First Friday show in December was a great success. It was very busy, people had a wonderful time, and we sold most of my pieces. The new color combinations were a big hit. As well as, some new espresso and serving cup sets I did. I also had quite a few orders for similar pieces that sold quickly at the show.
However, it seems like whenever you have to get things done in a timely manner an issue arises to through a wrench in the works. After the last firing for the show I noticed that the kiln was firing a little hot based on the witness cone and how different and beautiful some glazes came out. The last firing went somewhere above cone 10 and I normally fire to cone 8. Low and behold the thermacouple was cracked and broken. Thanks to Aim Kilns I received one rather quickly. I put it in and got the kiln cranking again.
